경원선 행진곡은 스페이스 포 컨템포러리 아트㈜가 주최하고 한국문화예술위원회, 아트선재센터, 철원군이 후원하는 《DMZ 피스프로젝트》의 일환으로 기획되었다. 《DMZ 피스프로젝트》는 DMZ를 동시대적인 관점에서 재조명하고 지역, 세대, 계층을 아울러 DMZ 역사와 현재적 의미를 알리고 분단 현실을 발전적으로 생각하도록 하는 계기를 만들고자 기획되었다. 공연 참가자들은 서울역에서 경원선 철도 종단점까지 열차를 타고, 거기에서 다시 민간인 출입통제구역이 눈 앞에 놓이는 철원의 북쪽 끝까지 행진하면서 관객이 되기도 하고, 퍼포먼스의 일부분이 되기도 하며 군사적 긴장지역으로 인식되어 오던 철원의 다른 얼굴을 경험하게 된다. 공연은 총 세 개의 절로 구성되는데 다페르튜토 스튜디오가 이끄는 첫 번째 소절은 DMZ 열차 안에서 차내 방송으로 연결되는 여러 개의 작은 연극들의 형태로 펼쳐지며, 세 량의 객차는 세 개의 극장이 된다. 이들은 철원에 관해 이야기 하지 않으면서 철원에 관해 이야기한다. 두 번째 소절은 백마고지역에서 하차하면서 시작되는 한받과 뜬구름의 합창 행진으로, 추수가 끝난 평온한 논길이 군사장애물과 지뢰위험지역으로 변모하는 풍경을 따라 계속된다. 참가자들은 작가들과 함께 노래를 부르고, 듣고, 춤을 추며 북쪽 끝을 향해 걷는다. 멀리 노동당사와 북한 땅이 보일 때쯤 펼쳐지는 권병준과 이악의 세 번째 소절은 작가의 하이브리드 피아노 연주와 참가자들이 날리는 노래하는 연이 함께 만들어내는 협연이다. 여기서 참가자들 개개는 곡의 음표가 되고, 모여서 <경원선 행진곡>의 마지막 소절을 이룬다. 반나절 동안 진행되는 이 여행에서, 작가들은 참가자들에게 분단이라는 냉엄한 상황을 대면하고, 그 무거움을 소화해 내는 세 가지 방식을 제안한다. 황량하지만 아름답고, 평화롭지만 부자연스러 운 철원이라는 장소에서 느끼는 각자의 다른 경험이 하나의 긴 노래로 엮여 평화에 관한 소박한 공감대가 만들어지기를 기대한다.

The Gyeongwon Line March was organized as part of the DMZ Peace Project, sponsored by the Space Footprotect Art Company and sponsored by the Korea Culture and Arts Center, Arts Centre Center, and Cheorwon County. The DMZ Project Scheme is designed to reflect the DMZ from a simultaneous perspective and to inform the DMZ of regional and current meaning of the DMZ and the current meaning of the DMZ as well as to promote the development of the divided realities.
Participants will ride trains from Seoul Station to Gyeongwon-sun Railway Station, where civilian access control zones will be relocated to the northern end of Cheorwon, where the civilian access control area will be seen as a part of the North Pole, and it will experience a different aspect of Cheorwon, which has been recognized as a military tension zone.
The performance consists of three sections, the first step led by Dapertto Studios, which leads to a series of small plays connected to the interior of the DMZ, and three cars become three theaters. They talk about Cheorwon without talking about Cheorwon. The second step begins with a parade and a parade that begins in the Baekmago district of Baekmago district, along with a peaceful walk through the landscape of military obstacles and land. Participants sing, listen, dance, and walk toward the North end with the writers.
Along with the Workers ` Party and the North Korean mainland, Kwon Byung-joon, the third ruler of the Workers ` Party and the North Korean mainland, combines the writer's hybrid piano and the singing of the participants. Here, each of the participants becomes the musical notes and gathers together to form the final rule of march. Through the one day tour to DMZ, the artists suggest the participants face three ways to face the harsh situation, facing the harsh situation. We hope that each of the different experiences of peaceful but beautiful, peaceful, and unnatural experiences will create a simple, lasting consensus on peace with each other.
